Procurement Specialist(m/f/d)

Lotus Tech Innovation Centre in Germany is a top-tier engineering facility focused on electric mobility and the development of next-generation vehicles. It hosts a team of 200 passionate experts. To support our growth, we are seeking a Procurement Specialist to join our Procurement team at our office in Raunheim, near Frankfurt.

What you'll do:

1. Collaborate with our strategic procurement team to fulfill requirements from R&D and other departments.
2. Identify and develop local suppliers, and work with team members and stakeholders to expand our supplier and cost database.
3. Partner with suppliers and R&D units on innovation projects to develop future vehicle models.
4. Serve as the procurement contact for stakeholders and handle supplier issues as the first escalation point.
5. Develop local sourcing strategies and lead strategic cost reduction initiatives.
6. Lead sourcing projects and negotiate prices with key suppliers.
7. Participate in end-to-end optimization projects with cross-functional teams.
8. Manage procurement systems and ensure compliance with ordering processes.
9. Research and implement best practices and innovations industry-wide.
10. Perform other procurement-related tasks as needed.

What you'll bring:

1. A university degree in business, engineering, or a related field, or equivalent qualification.
2. At least 2 years of purchasing experience; experience in the automotive industry is advantageous.
3. Strong negotiation skills.
4. Interest in technology and innovation, with the ability to understand complex technical issues.
5. Efficient data collection and analysis skills.
6. Proficiency in German and English (written and spoken); knowledge of Chinese is a plus.
7. Project management and teamwork abilities.
8. An independent, organized, and proactive personality.
9. Proficiency with MS Office, especially Excel (pivot tables, formulas) and PowerPoint.
