Join Our Team as a Maintenance Engineer!
We are seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Engineer to provide efficient, cost-effective maintenance and engineering support to optimize plant production safely and in compliance with legal standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure SHEQ Compliance: Guide the technical team to strictly follow all safety, health, environmental, and quality policies, procedures, and work instructions, including permit requirements and lockout procedures.
- Drive Proactive Maintenance: Implement and improve predictive and preventative maintenance techniques to minimize unplanned downtime, plan maintenance schedules, and manage equipment uptime.
- Manage Plant Reliability: Monitor equipment failures, conduct root cause analyses, and suggest process and equipment changes to prevent recurrence.
- Oversee Projects and Compliance: Manage equipment renewal and capital projects, ensure legal and regulatory compliance, and guide plant modifications.
- Control Budgets and Costs: Participate in annual maintenance budgeting, monitor expenses, approve requisitions, and identify cost-effective design or plant changes.
- Utilize SAP System: Log all maintenance activities in SAP, evaluate adherence to processes, and review bills of material and management of change (MOC) temporary changes.
- Lead Technical Team: Oversee recruitment, performance management, development, and provide on-the-job coaching to the technical/maintenance team.
- Foster Collaboration & Reporting: Actively participate in multidisciplinary team meetings, build customer relationships, and prepare comprehensive maintenance reports.
- BSc/BEng/BTech/Advance Diploma in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
- Possession of a Government Certificate of Competency (Factories) is an added advantage.
- Minimum of 5 years’ maintenance experience in a heavy industry environment.
- Supervisory experience is beneficial.
