The Power Conversion Technology Laboratory within Huawei’s Nuremberg Research Center is responsible for Advanced Digital Power Technology Research, Architecture Evolution Design, and Strategic Technology Planning, and plays an important role in the Huawei Digital Power business in the design and development of power converters and control systems for applications such as PV Solar & Battery Energy Storage Field, Data Centers, Electric Vehicle, and Embedded Power Supply.

Expert Mechanical Engineer for High Speed Motors/Actuators (m/f/d)
Your mission
- Perform multibody simulations and develop the CAD drawings.
- Know-how in designing, simulating, and manufacturing high-speed actuators or motors.
- Experience in quick prototyping and testing.
- Experience with advanced measurement devices to measure the acceleration of high-speed actuators.
- Discuss with suppliers and manage the fabrication process of the parts needed to assemble motors/actuators.
- Identify necessary standards and perform the tests needed to qualify the prototype and bring the idea to the market.
- Prepare technical reports, patents, and publications.
- Engage in continuous research in the field and attend relevant conferences to remain up to date.
Your areas of expertise
- Master’s degree or ideally PhD in Mechanical Engineering.
- 8+ years of professional experience in the field of mechanical engineering.
- Experience in designing and testing of motors/actuators, with a strong preference for experience in axial flux motors.
- Experience in CAD such as Solid Works, FEM such as Ansys/LS DYNA, multibody dynamics simulation tools such as Adams.
- Experience in building test setups to test various actuator concepts.
- Experience in researching, developing and applying key technologies and devices in the field.
- Good teamwork spirit, aptitude for learning, and proficient English communication and writing skills.
