Since 1995, we have been developing software for aircraft design, configuration, route analysis, virtual training, and fuel efficiency. With locations in Berlin, the USA, Canada, and Singapore, we collaborate closely with leading aircraft manufacturers, airlines, and research partners.
To strengthen our global HR structure and support our continued international growth, we are looking for an experienced and process-driven HR professional to take over the role of Head of Global HR, Payroll & Benefit (m/f/d). This position focuses on ensuring operational excellence, legal compliance, and the effective management of payroll and employee benefits across the PACE Group.
Location: Berlin (hybrid) | Reporting to: Finance Director & Executive Management
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic HR Planning: Develops and implements HR strategies that align with the Group's overall business objectives
- Payroll Management: Lead and oversee the payroll process for Germany, the US, Canada, and Singapore. Ensure accuracy, timeliness, and full compliance with local payroll legislation and international standards, in collaboration with external providers.
- Benefits Administration: Manages employee benefits programs tailored to local needs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and other benefits, ensuring they are aligned with company policies and employee needs.
- Compliance: Ensures compliance with labor law, tax/social security regulations, and policies in various global locations. Act as point of contact for compliance audits and internal governance.
- HR Policy Development: Design, maintain and implement HR policies, procedures and operational standards across locations. Align documentation with corporate requirements and support policy rollouts with clarity and structure.
- Employee Relations: Addresses employee concerns and issues, providing support and guidance to employees.
- Project Management: Leads HR-related projects, such as system implementations or process improvements.
- Team Leadership: Lead and develop a small international team (approx.. 3-5 members) in the area of HR operations and services. Ensure service delivery, clarity of roles, and continuous development.
- Data Analysis: Uses data to identify trends, measure the effectiveness of HR programs, and make data-driven decisions.
- Stakeholder collaboration: Coordinate closely with Finance, IT and local HR teams to align service delivery with overall business needs. Support the alignment of operational HR structures with group-wide goals.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Advanced Degree: Master's degree in HR, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Extensive Experience: several years of experience in HR, payroll, and benefits, preferably in a multinational environment.
- Strong Leadership and Communication Skills: Must be able to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization and lead teams.
- Expertise in HR Systems and Technologies: Must be proficient in using HRIS, payroll systems, and other HR-related technologies.
- Strong Knowledge of employment law,Regulations and social security systems: Must have a thorough understanding of HR laws and regulations in various global locations.
- Data Analysis Skills: Must be able to analyse data to identify trends and make data-driven decisions.
- Project Management Skills: Must be able to manage HR-related projects effectively.
- Problem-Solving Skills: Must be able to identify and solve problems related to HR, payroll, and benefits.
- Cross-Cultural Communication Skills: Must be able to communicate effectively with employees from diverse backgrounds.
- Adaptability: Must be able to adapt to changing business conditions and global requirements.
- Willingness to travel occasionally
