What you´ll do

  1. Collect and collate Climate (Scope 3) relevant data, conduct checks, and aggregate Key Performance Indicators and CO2e-data according to regulations/standards and internal Henkel policies.
  2. Provide feedback and enable data owners on data accuracy, completeness, and quality by creating awareness and providing clear guidance.
  3. Define and document standardized calculation methodologies and data requirements for sustainability metrics, ensuring compliance with international accounting & reporting standards, as well as Henkel's internal strategies and control mechanisms.
  4. Prepare, conduct, and support assurance activities with internal and external stakeholders for Scope 3 accounting, especially for CSRD compliance under limited assurance.
  5. Develop internal control mechanisms to ensure the future-proof (reasonable assurance) of Henkel’s GHG reporting.
  6. Advocate in external initiatives, associations, and internal forums focusing on relevant GHG topics to drive Henkel’s interests, shape reporting standards, and gather scientific insights.
  7. Provide subject matter expertise for the development of GHG automation and visualization tools.
  8. Support transversal projects and duties related to Environmental Data.

What makes you a good fit

  • Master’s degree in Sustainability, Environmental Science, or a related field.
  • Expertise in Corporate Carbon Accounting, including GHG relevant accounting and reporting standards (GHG Protocol, Scope 3).
  • Experience with climate-related reporting and awareness of external reporting frameworks (e.g., CSRD & ESRS, EU Taxonomy is a plus).
  • Entrepreneurial mindset and resilience in handling high-pressure situations and adapting to rapidly changing environments.
  • Strong multi-tasking abilities, with skills in planning, organizing details, and effective communication across all organizational levels.
  • Business proficiency in English; German language skills are a plus.
