Business Analyst, Trustworthy Shopping Experience
The Trustworthy Shopping Experience team is seeking a business analyst to help protect customers from defective, dangerous products and ensure a worry-free shopping experience. If you are a self-starter comfortable with handling complex data sets and working through ambiguity, this role is ideal for you.
Key job responsibilities
- Use your passion for data to generate actionable insights through metrics, dashboards, and deep dive analyses.
- Track existing and emerging abuse vectors, define and implement new initiatives, and measure progress using metrics.
- Analyze business metrics to assess, prevent, and predict e-commerce risks.
- Collaborate with partner teams to define success metrics, develop scalable reporting solutions, and provide data-driven insights for continuous improvement.
- Coordinate with global Amazon teams, including program, product, and data teams, requiring strong cross-team collaboration skills.
A day in the life
Monitor and report on business metrics, identify root causes of metric fluctuations, and work on projects to improve policies, processes, and tools, in collaboration with data science and engineering teams.

Minimum qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent
- Experience in tax, finance, or a related analytical field
- Proficiency in Excel (including VBA, pivot tables, array functions, Power Pivot) and data visualization tools like Tableau
- Experience with SQL
- Ability to define requirements and use data and metrics to derive business insights
- Experience in making business recommendations and influencing stakeholders
Preferred qualifications
- Team player with experience working across diverse teams and cultures
- Creative in visualizing complex data simply and intuitively
- Advanced skills in data mining, SQL, ETL processes, and Excel
- Knowledge of programming languages such as Python, R, Java, C++, or Haskell
- Experience in product catalog, brand protection, risk management, or fraud teams
- Experience collaborating with machine learning and data science teams
- Business proficiency in languages like French, German, Spanish, Italian, or Arabic
- Master’s Degree
