Seeking a dedicated Administration & Communication Assistant with at least two years of professional experience to join Ivana Franke’s practice. IvanaFranke is a Berlin‑based contemporary artist internationally recognised for her immersive light installations and perception‑focused research projects. As her Assistant you will work closely with Ivana and a number of project-specific collaborators.

Tasks

In this role you will run everyday administrative routines, maintain flawless archives, draft texts, communicate with project partners, coordinate logistics, and occasionally accompany the artist on travel.

  • Handle administrative tasks - assist in planning, maintain calendars, process invoices, and manage day-to-day correspondence.
  • Catalogue and annotate the digital archive; prepare and update CVs, portfolios, and project files.
  • Liaise with institutions, project partners, and suppliers; monitor deadlines and deliverables, and circulate materials.
  • Craft clear texts, format visual material, and ensure consistency across the website/social updates, proposals and press materials.
  • Assist in project logistics - plann fabrication and installation of artworks, book shipping and technicians, monitor timelines, and coordinate logistics for exhibitions and productions.
  • Travel to installations to provide on-site assistance.

Requirements

The ideal candidate is reliable, comfortable working both independently and in collaboration and has a strong interest in contemporary art and cross-disciplinary research.

  • Excellent written and spoken German and English.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and Adobe CC (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator).
  • Completed vocational training at QualifikationsebeneE6 in marketing communications, design, curation or a related field plus at least 2 years of relevant work experience.
  • Strong sense of responsibility; focused, detail-oriented, observant, and discreet, with self-managing work organization
  • Strong communication, time-management, and organizational skills
