Tasks
The Sustainability team is responsible for defining, establishing and managing the Division’s strategy and approach to all sustainability activities: we drive sustainability transformation at Airbus Defence and Space in line with evolving societal expectations to ensure business continuity and foster innovation.
In this position you will lead and support the team specifically in the definition and management of environmental projects aimed at reducing our environmental footprint across our sites and thus reaching our Top Company Objectives and high5+ targets. These activities form part of the Airbus Defence and Space Industrial Environmental Road map. You will ensure the realisation of the high5+ targets in the frame of the operative planning. Planning and realisation of the high5+ targets for the sites / functions / programme lines, with the target to have an overall industrial environmental road map defined and implemented as well as securing its evolution based on stakeholder and societal expectations.
Your tasks and responsibilities
Establishing and leading Industrial Road map projects within Airbus Defence and Space including cross-functional and multi-functional-teams (MFTs) e.g. water and waste MFTs in coordination with relevant functions and Airbus wide activities
Supporting the strategic evolution of the VOC MFT in coordination with relevant functions and impacted sites
Contributing to the Divisional high5+ investment plan for the respective MFTs , integrating these in the frame of the Operational Planning of sites / Functions and Programme Lines
Driving the implementation of high5+ related requirements in the business and supporting the business case evaluations across the organisation
Ensuring the appropriate execution of the Risk & Opportunity assessment
Developing, establishing and leading dedicated projects in as may be needed to reach the high5+ objectives or support strategic environmental projects
Securing the internal buy-in and validation throughout the project
Providing cost estimations, consolidations, analysis, planning and monitoring for relevant projects and initiatives
Leading and providing all aspects related to the projects such as contracting, creation of dossiers, documentation, action plans, reporting, Risk & Opportunity assessment etc…
Being advocate for Sustainability activities and foster lasting connections across Airbus Defence and Space and Airbus inspiring and engaging colleagues across the Airbus organisation in their work to support our sustainability ambition
Communicating Sustainability and high 5+ achievements: internally and across digital platforms
This role will involve travel for business and as such you must be able to travel accordingly.
Desired skills and qualifications
You are educated to a degree level in General Business Administration, Economics, Aerospace Engineering, Sustainability, Environmental Engineering or equivalent
You have acquired knowledge and experience working in the field of Sustainability and specifically on environmental matters
You are experienced in leading and managing complex projects with multiple internal and external stakeholders
You are experienced in the set-up and leading of projects with multiple partners
You are experienced in leading and managing multi-national projects
You have experience in dealing with compliance matters and related processes and you lead by example on sustainability
You have analytical skills and are a strategic thinker
You have excellent communication skills
You have proven leadership and managerial skills and "make Things happen"
You have a result oriented personality
You are a team player and are able to work in international and cross-functional teams
You speak English and French, German or Spanish to negotiation level
