About the role

The AI Team at Agile Robots is looking for a dedicated (Senior) Robotics Engineer (m/f/d) with experience in teleoperating robots. You should have at least 2 years of experience in the field, demonstrating proficiency with robotic hardware in the context of robotic teaching. This position sits at the intersection of AI and robotics, focusing on enabling high-quality training data collection for AI-based robot learning. Prior hands-on experience in these areas would be a significant plus.

Your Responsibilities

• Develop and improve robot teaching methods for large-scale data collection.
• Integrate various teleoperation devices to create robot learning data.
• Assess different augmentation modalities, such as force-feedback, haptic, or other sensory information, to improve robotic teaching.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams in a dynamic environment to prototype, iterate, and deploy robotic solutions for real-world applications.
• Translate functional and technical requirements into detailed architecture and design.
• Maintain a Master's degree in computer science, automation, robotics, AI, or a related field.
• Experience with different direct or indirect robot teaching methods using teleoperation or human demonstration.
• Knowledge of retargeting techniques to accommodate different embodiments.
• Familiarity with ROS2 and robotics software development.
• Solid understanding of computer vision, with specialization in deep learning-based CV as a plus.
• Proficiency in C++ or Python.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and strong communication abilities.
• Solid understanding of communication protocols.

Beneficial Skills

• Experience working with AI models used in robotics, e.g., diffusion, Octo, ACT.
• Experience with TorchServe and/or TensorFlow Extended (Serving).
• Knowledge of VR/AR components and familiarity with Unity.
• Experience with dockerisation and CI/CD pipelines.
• Published work in scientific publications related to Robotics, ML, CV, etc.
