Lead Chemical Analytics Industrial Line (m/f/d)

Job Description

Your mission

1. You will develop and implement a comprehensive system for planning and setting up modern analytics for our industrial line. This includes the integration of incoming inspections, outgoing goods inspections, and the development of process analytics with continuous monitoring and control.
2. You will contribute your expertise in operational processes and laboratory setup at an industrial level.
3. In the future, you will take over process monitoring and management of the laboratory at our site in Dormagen, coordinating between departments such as Quality Assurance, Industrialization, and our teams in Aachen.
4. You will actively work on developing and improving analysis techniques and ensure their smooth integration into the industrial process.
5. You will accompany and evaluate external test trials, monitor device setup and installation, and support the recruitment of new employees.
6. You will be responsible for preparing and supporting the certification of the laboratory to meet all requirements and uphold high-quality standards.
7. In perspective, you will lead a team of 4 to 6 people, promote open communication, and ensure all team members can fulfill their tasks effectively and efficiently.

Your profile

1. You have several years of industrial experience in laboratory work, with management experience preferred.
2. You have experience coordinating between departments and managing a laboratory is an advantage.
3. You hold a degree in chemical engineering or a related field.
4. You possess in-depth experience in analytical techniques, online analytics, and their implementation in industrial and laboratory operations.
5. Experience with LIMS and/or DCS systems is ideal.
6. Experience in setting up a laboratory is a plus.
7. You approach new challenges with enthusiasm, show initiative, and work independently and goal-oriented.
8. You enjoy developing technical concepts and practical solutions for automated processes.
9. You are characterized by a structured working style and the ability to clearly document and communicate complex relationships.
10. Excellent written and spoken German and English skills complete your profile.

Our Process

The cylib process offers an end-to-end solution from battery pack to green battery material, employing mechanical, thermal, and water-based lithium and graphite recovery techniques. Developed over several years at RWTH Aachen University, it enables resource- and climate-friendly recovery of battery materials like lithium, graphite, and manganese from end-of-life batteries, supporting a circular economy in Europe.
