The Institute of Inorganic Chemistry invites applications for the following position, starting as soon as possible: Administrative Assistant (m/f/d) (salary scale 9a TV-L, 50 or 100%).

The position is to be filled on a 50% permanent basis, with an additional 50% limited until 31 May 2028 as part of a replacement.

Your Role

The diverse and demanding tasks include:

  • Organizing and managing university-wide research projects, collaborative research centers, and third-party funded projects
  • Processing invoices and monitoring budgets using SAP
  • Consulting the institute's executive committee on budget matters and preparing reports for meetings
  • Supporting the institute's management in public relations, external representation, and collecting key figures (funding, publications, student numbers)

Who Are We Looking For?

The ideal candidate will have completed professional training (e.g., Verwaltungsfachangestellte/r, Verwaltungswirt/in) and passed the relevant examination or be eligible for entry-level positions in general administrative services. Equivalent training is also acceptable.

Additional requirements include:

  • Reliable, committed, and independent work ethic, organizational talent, resilience, adaptability, and teamwork skills
  • Fluent German and English skills are desirable
  • Proficiency in MS Office, email, and calendar management
  • Experience with website maintenance (e.g., TYPO) is a plus
  • Experience with SAP applications and administrative procedures in a state authority or university is advantageous
