The Position

The opportunity: As a Strategic Purchaser (m/f/d), you will be responsible for indirect purchasing within the procurement category "Marketing and Sales" and will develop a sustainable procurement strategy. You will support our marketing colleagues with pitches for innovative digital communication solutions, maintain contacts with leading healthcare agencies as commercial contacts, and leverage your proximity to Roche headquarters in Basel to exchange strategies and trends with colleagues from Global Procurement.

You will also serve as the local contact for Global Procurement in your assigned product group and participate in cross-functional national and international purchasing projects. Your tasks include:

• Being a specialist for current market developments, demonstrating innovation, and setting impulses.
• Executing tenders, negotiating, concluding framework agreements, agreements, and cost optimizations, and managing strategic suppliers, including performance measurement and risk management.
• Being part of a cross-functional team from the start, fostering a network of internal experts.

Who you are

In addition to a degree in economics, you have several years of experience in strategic indirect purchasing or marketing, preferably in agency services and digital communication solutions. You understand the role of Marketing Procurement as a business partner to drive value. Your profile is rounded off by:

• Enjoying talking to people and establishing meaningful business relationships.
• Having an independent and authoritative work style.
• Possessing excellent communication and analytical skills.
• Bringing strong negotiating skills and confident stewardship.
• Having good spoken and written English skills.
