The Operations Director supports the General Manager and Senior Director of Operations by analyzing financial results and developing strategies to drive EBITDA and mitigate risks within the Business Unit. This role may also involve due diligence for mergers and acquisitions and integrating acquired companies. Additionally, the role focuses on plant consolidations, supply chain optimization, inventory control, and capacity expansion.
Responsibilities :
- Drive Profitable Growth :
- Financial Acumen – Analyze financial data, understand products, markets, and operational metrics. Manage budgets, P&L, ROI, EBITDA, and capital to achieve financial targets.
- Create Alignment and Accountability :
- Strategy – Set and communicate the vision for Plant Managers; integrate acquisitions to maximize value.
- General Management – Manage P&L, control costs, and balance short and long-term needs. English proficiency required for higher-level roles. Evaluate acquisition targets for operational and financial robustness.
- Build Strategic Partnerships :
- Leadership – Embody Alkegen’s Core Values, demonstrate urgency, take informed risks, and lead by example. Influence across cultures and organizational levels. Strong communication skills required.

Qualifications & Experience :
- Bachelor’s in Engineering, Business, or related; MBA preferred.
- 10-15 years in manufacturing and operations management, especially in continuous, capital-intensive environments. Experience with labor unions is a plus.
- Proven safety record and safety improvement initiatives.
- Experience in supply chain, quality, safety, engineering, planning, and logistics.
- Practical knowledge of Lean, TPM, Six Sigma.
- Track record of continuous improvement and cost savings.
- Experience in capital project prioritization and business planning.
- Skilled in financial analysis of operations.
