About the Company

Our client is a specialist in chemical distribution, providing high-quality raw materials and nutraceutical ingredients to the food, cosmetics, and pharmaceutical sectors. As the company continues to grow and expand its presence across Europe, they are looking for someone who understands both science and business.The successful candidate will play a central role in both nurturing key customer relationships and leading the identification and development of new business opportunities throughout the region.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain long-term relationships with key customers by understanding both technical and commercial needs, addressing queries, and delivering excellent service
  • Proactively identify, target, and acquire new customers in various European markets
  • Monitor industry trends, market conditions, and competitor activity throughout the EU, and conduct research to pinpoint areas of potential growth
  • Track and evaluate sales performance, providing regular updates, reports, and forecasts
  • Deliver professional and technically supported presentations to clients, in collaboration with formulation and R&D teams
  • Represent the company at industry events, trade fairs, and conferences across Europe
  • Continuously review and enhance sales strategies, tools, and methodologies to improve efficiency and customer experience
  • Travel across Europe to engage directly with customers and distributors (approximately 1–2 weeks per month)
  • Minimum 3–5 years of experience in B2B technical sales, preferably within raw materials, chemicals, or related sectors
  • Knowledge of UV-curable technologies, including raw materials such as photoinitiators, monomers, and oligomers, as well as end-use markets (coatings, inks, paints, adhesives, etc.)
  • Strong commercial acumen and negotiation capability
  • A degree in Chemistry (BSc or MSc, with strong academic performance)
  • Competence in market analysis and contributing to strategic sales plans
  • Excellent communication skills in English (both written and verbal) and strong interpersonal abilities
  • Proven ability to create and deliver professional, client-facing presentations
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Teams) and familiarity with CRM / ERP systems
  • Legal right to work in the European Union
  • Full driving licence and readiness to travel extensively within the region

Desirable Qualifications and Experience

  • Fluency in German
  • Previous experience in the UV-Curing sector or related fields such as coatings, inks, or paints
  • A PhD in Chemistry
