The Opportunity:

As a CACI Database Administrator, your worksite will be at the Special Operations Command – Africa headquarters in Stuttgart, Germany, for the entire period of performance. You will collaborate with tech-enabled analysts to manage complex data sets, enhancing understanding of the operating environment. Your role involves providing technical expertise in managing SQL and noSQL databases, supporting the digital-ISR team, and developing automation and scripting solutions to maintain highly available databases.

Responsibilities:

  1. Install, configure, and maintain PostgreSQL database systems.
  2. Monitor database performance and optimize for efficiency and reliability.
  3. Coordinate with data performers to ensure data feeds remain stable.
  4. Implement and manage database backup and recovery processes.
  5. Ensure database security and compliance with organizational policies.
  6. Collaborate with developers to design and optimize database schemas.
  7. Troubleshoot and resolve database-related issues promptly.
  8. Plan and execute database upgrades and migrations.
  9. Document database configurations, processes, and procedures.

Qualifications:

Required:

  • Active TS/SCI Clearance (No Waiver)
  • BA/BS +3 yrs. recent specialized or AA/AS +7 yrs. recent specialized or a major cert + 7 yrs. recent specialized or 11 years of recent specialized.
  • 3+ years of experience in database management with SQL and noSQL technologies.
  • Strong knowledge of scripting languages (e.g., Python, SQL) and automation frameworks (e.g., Ansible, YAML).
  • Experience with containerization (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes).
  • Strong communication and documentation skills.

Desired:

  • Experience analyzing and automating manual processes using scripting and automation tools.
  • Knowledge of agile methodologies and version control (Git).
  • Ability to develop and maintain automation tools and scripts.
  • Stakeholder engagement to define automation requirements.
  • Documentation of automation processes.
  • Troubleshooting automation issues.
  • Participation in developing automation standards.
  • Staying current with automation technologies.
  • Focus on process automation such as data entry, report generation, system monitoring, incident management, compliance, and audit tasks.

Pay Range:

The salary range is $105,100 - $231,100 USD, influenced by factors such as location, experience, skills, and education. We offer competitive benefits including healthcare, wellness, retirement, and education support.
