The Role

As a VoIP Engineer, you’ll use your experience with VoIP services, SATCOM operations, configuration of Palo Alto Firewalls, and implementation of security devices, switches, and routers. You will configure, design, document, and troubleshoot VoIP services across multiple sites, ensuring secure and reliable communication systems that support national security missions.

Responsibilities include:

  1. Configuring and troubleshooting network and VoIP equipment such as Call Managers, Firewalls, switches, and routers.
  2. Monitoring mission operations to prevent and resolve voice issues.
  3. Supporting the deployment of virtualized resources and system upgrades.
  4. Maintaining security and configuration documentation.
  5. Performing security assessments and risk mitigation.

Qualifications

  • Experience implementing secure solutions and working with vSphere, call managers, and network security protocols.
  • Knowledge of operating systems (Windows, Linux), networking, and VoIP architecture.
  • Secret clearance required.
  • Bachelor's degree with 5+ years of VoIP experience, or 8+ years in lieu of a degree.
  • DoD 8570 IAT Level II Certification (Security+ or CCNA Voice).

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with tactical user interfacing DoD systems, change management, and record keeping.
  • Excellent communication skills and attention to detail.
  • Certifications like CCNP Collaboration are a plus.

  • Security investigation and eligibility for access to classified information required.
  • Salary range: $86,800 - $198,000 annually.
  • Work model: On-site, with flexibility depending on role.
