DESCRIPTION

We are looking for a talented Warranty Analyst to join our team specializing in Service for Cummins in Nuernberg, Bayern, Germany.

In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:

  1. You will become part of the current product engineering team and act as our warranty adjudicator for the eMobility traction products.
  2. After a period of training and collaboration with our various departments, you will grow in your role.
  3. You will be the central point of contact for warranty decisions for the eMobility traction products (motors, inverters, eAxles, etc.) for international customers.
  4. You will work closely with other departments within the organization (Quality, Order Management, Repair shop, Operations, etc.).
  5. Based on this collaboration, you’ll build up a good technical knowledge of our products, which is an asset for making warranty decisions and writing the accompanying reports.
  6. Based on the technical findings of the external and internal stakeholders, you will prepare the final warranty decision towards customers.
  7. You will manage the different warranty claim contracts for multiple international customers.
  8. You will participate in continuous improvement efforts and standard work development for the warranty decision-making team.
  9. Sporadically, you will support the current product support team with diagnostic investigations on products, vehicles, and systems.
  10. You will prioritize safety with the objective of injury-free living.

RESPONSIBILITIES

To be successful in this role you will need the following:

  1. You hold a minimum of a bachelor’s or master’s degree in industrial engineering, electro-mechanical engineering, or equivalent field service engineering work experience.
  2. Proven technical experience (electric motors, inverters, automotive, etc.).
  3. Proven automotive experience and warranty handling experience.
  4. Basic to intermediate level of relevant work experience is preferred; prior experience in a technical role is preferred.
  5. Understanding of automotive, automation, electro mechanics, and electricity is a plus.
  6. Excellent verbal and written communication skills (German and English).
  7. You can translate the technical findings into an understandable technical report for the customer.
  8. Proven capability to build effective formal and informal relationships inside and outside the organization.
  9. Commitment to holding self and others accountable to meet appointments and deadlines.
  10. Demonstrated initiative in actively seeking new ways to grow and be challenged using both formal and informal development channels.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education/ Experience:

  1. College, university, or equivalent required or equivalent experience required.
  2. Intermediate level of relevant work experience, including Call Center Representative experience, required.
