As a Customer Success Manager at Smartly, you'll take ownership of your own customers from the first week on, provide consultative advice, scope and drive successful product trials, and foster customer engagement. You will serve as a vital link between customers, platforms like Meta, Pinterest, Snapchat, TikTok, and our product development team. This role offers the opportunity to learn rapidly about growing and nurturing your own book of business, managing relationships with large advertisers, and scaling operations within a fast-paced, ambitious growth company.

This Berlin-based position is part of the South & Central Customer Success team.

As a Customer Success Manager at Smartly, you will...

  • Manage and nurture your own customer accounts through daily communication and online marketing expertise.
  • Collaborate closely with customers to refine their online marketing strategies and resolve issues related to scaling budgets, campaign performance, and manual tasks.
  • Take full ownership of growing and managing your portfolio, developing vertical expertise (e.g., e-commerce, travel, classifieds, mobile apps).
  • Maintain strong knowledge of the Smartly platform and the digital ecosystem to effectively solve customer problems.
  • Build and maintain robust relationships with customers and partners such as Meta, Pinterest, Snapchat, TikTok, and Google.
  • Work jointly with customers, other Customer Success Managers, and the product team to ensure quick feedback and continuous improvement.

We're looking for you if you...

  • Have 3+ years of relevant experience in customer success or a similar customer-facing role.
  • Possess a good understanding of paid digital advertising across platforms like Meta, Pinterest, Snapchat, TikTok, Google, and programmatic channels.
  • Are highly empathetic, positive, and eager to help customers achieve their goals.
  • Are results-oriented, proactive, and collaborative.
  • Can explain complex concepts clearly and translate data into actionable insights.
  • Have excellent spoken and written English skills; proficiency in French or German is a plus.
  • Can work in our Berlin office at least 3 days a week (hybrid model).
  • Are willing and able to travel for meetings, conferences, and industry events.
