We are looking for a Junior Sales Engineer to join our Sales Engineering Team to provide technical assistance to the Sales Director and is responsible for all pre-sales technical efforts.

The position is located in our Ribbon office in Oberursel, with a medium percentage of travelling (30%). We have a hybrid work-from-home policy with 2-3 days home office per week.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor degree in Engineering / IT or other relevant courses.
  • Familiarity with telecommunications and Service Provider industry, its products, services and technologies.
    • Virtualisation and Containers and strong understanding of Cloud environments such as AWS, Azure or Google.
    • Network Security such as IPSec, VPNs or NAT/Firewalls.
    • Ethernet, IP routing.
    • Interest to learn about Microsoft Teams, Zoom and other UCaaS solutions.
  • Confidence in presenting technical solutions.
  • Industry certifications (Cisco, Juniper, Azure or others) – advantage.
  • Must be permitted to work in country of residence within the territory.

Languages:

  • German Native Speaker or C1 Level.
  • English fluent verbal and written.
  • Additional language skills will be beneficial.

POSITION SUMMARY

Responsibilities Include:

  • Analyzing the ability to meet the needs of potential customers on the basis of products produced by the company and its business partners and putting together technical solution descriptions.
  • Presenting and selling the proposed technological solutions to the customer as part of the sales process with the assistance of the sales manager handling the deal.
  • Creating and retaining positive ongoing relationships with the customers / partners.
  • Help prepare technical response for Bids, RFI's and RFP's, working with the Bids and Proposals Team.
  • Attend trade shows, conferences and networking within the industry to keep Ribbon position and communications at a high level.
  • Minimum 30% Travel required.

Ribbon will provide training and mentoring to enable the successful candidate to gain knowledge of the Ribbon product portfolio, and the processes and procedures.
