About Us

Egis, together with its partners (collectively called METAV), has been appointed as Network Manager to work closely with the client in managing the planning, design, and construction of 3 new underground metro lines in Tel Aviv. The project includes:

  • Operational in 2034
  • Serving 24 municipalities with a total length of 149 km and 109 stations
  • Estimated cost of €50 billion
  • Expected to benefit 2 million passengers daily
  • Projected to increase public transport usage by 30% and generate €8 billion in economic benefits to the local economy

Egis is hiring for the Project Planning & Controls team as a Project Controls Expert. This role offers a unique opportunity to be involved across all project phases: design, construction, and operation.


About the Role

The Project Controls Expert will be responsible for:

  • Reviewing, assessing, and preparing various project delivery schedules, ensuring risk mitigation strategies are integrated into scheduling practices
  • Preparing monthly progress reports for multiple packages, including risk assessment updates and key risk identification impacting timelines and budgets
  • Participating in regular progress meetings with clients and contractors to address project risks and discuss mitigation measures
  • Monitoring project tracking systems weekly with planning engineers to ensure risks are adequately tracked and reported
  • Providing critical path analysis for all packages and identifying potential risks affecting project timelines, with recommendations for proactive measures
  • Leading risk workshops to assess, categorize, and prioritize project risks with stakeholders
  • Managing and developing the project controls team, embedding risk management into activities
  • Supporting the commercial team with contractual claims, delay analysis, and preparing delay claim reports considering risk factors

What do we need from you

  • At least 15 years of professional experience in project planning and scheduling
  • Previous experience in rail, especially metro or underground rail projects
  • Proficiency with scheduling software such as Primavera, SureTrak, or similar tools
  • Ability to interpret construction schedules
  • Experience in risk management is advantageous
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite
  • Excellent communication skills in English, both oral and written
  • Ability to lead meetings and present to clients
  • Active participation and commitment to team culture
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification
