KBR leads the government services world contingency market by providing responsive full-service logistics support to forces deployed around the world under the Logistics Civil Augmentation Program contract LOGCAP. KBR's enduring mission support of the LOGCAP program dates back to 1992 when we served as the contract's original prime contractor. Today, we have a workforce of over 6,000 people representing 40 nationalities who perform work on the contract in 14 countries.

Job Summary

The Project Manager is directly responsible for all aspects of the effort at all sites and shall have the autonomy from the corporate headquarters to execute the effort unimpeded. The Project Manager must be highly qualified with extensive supervisory, maintenance, management, supply, transportation, and quality management experience. The PM is responsible for reviewing and submitting timely classified Unit Status Reporting (USR) information and must be familiar with and able to implement and manage an ISO quality management system program-wide.

Roles and Responsibilities

  1. Be responsible for all phases of project planning and close-out activities of a large-sized project.
  2. Handle project setup, subcontracting strategy, contract changes, subcontractor relations, and all required reporting.
  3. Plan, organize, coordinate, and control projects in accordance with established policies, procedures, systems, and requirements approved by the company and LOGCAP Program.
  4. Represent the program and KBR professionally in day-to-day contact and communication with the client and customer.
  5. Manage all LOGCAP services operations and equipment maintenance provided at the APS.
  6. Manage a workforce of less than 1,000 direct hires and subcontracted employees.
  7. Provide clear directions to employees regarding compliance with company, customer, and local area responsibilities, as well as standards of conduct.
  8. Promote a culture of continuous process improvement and high performance; ensure health, morale, and welfare requirements are met.
  9. Review and make recommendations concerning daily operations.
  10. Ensure the Program Management Office (PMO) has timely, accurate, and relevant information about project activities.
  11. Build positive professional relationships with internal and external entities.
  12. Supervise personnel assigned to the project through subordinate leaders.
  13. Maintain awareness of operational issues and analyze operational performance and indicators affecting KBR's contractual performance supporting the APS mission.
  14. Perform other duties as assigned.

Basic Qualifications

  • Must hold an active U.S. Government-issued Secret Security Clearance and maintain it during employment. U.S. citizenship is required.
  • Requires a Bachelor's Degree; a Master's Degree in Business Administration or Management is preferred.
  • At least 15 years of management experience in U.S. Army logistics operations, with relevant experience at the brigade level or higher.
  • 15 years of progressively responsible management and leadership experience.
  • Experience managing 500 employees or more.
  • Advanced knowledge of military equipment maintenance programs, including equipment repair and return to operations.
  • Experience with U.S. financial management systems, U.S. Army Standard Army Management Information Systems (STAMIS), GCSS-Army, and U.S. Army USR reporting.
  • Highly organized, self-starting, capable of working in a fast-paced, multidisciplinary team environment, managing competing priorities.
  • Project management skills including leadership, accountability, flexibility, focus under pressure, and respect for diverse perspectives.
  • Valid passport with at least 12 months of validity and 6 blank pages.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in military tactical and logistics-related fields is preferred.
