The Global Event Executive will support the Central European Event Managers with planning and organizing events and meetings, as well as managing all day-to-day tasks to ensure the successful delivery of client and internal events aligned with the firm’s growth strategy.

The role aims to deliver relevant, innovative, and cost-effective events that strengthen client relationships, support new opportunities, enhance the firm's brand and reputation, and differentiate Freshfields' offerings.

Key responsibilities and deliverables

  1. Event Planning and Delivery: Plan, create, and execute high-quality client-facing events, conferences, and hospitality activities aligned with the firm's strategic focus and client-specific goals. Organize internal conferences and events that are of firmwide importance and support key initiatives.
  2. Support CE Event Managers: Assist with event delivery and onsite support for events, including preparation and execution of larger conferences.
  3. Supplier and Stakeholder Relationships: Build and maintain trusted relationships with external suppliers and internal stakeholders to foster a collaborative, global team mindset.
  4. Venue and Supplier Research: Conduct research and maintain knowledge of venues, suppliers, and hospitality options. Keep the team updated on trends, new openings, and innovations in the industry.
  5. Technology and Reporting: Utilize marketing technologies (e.g., Salesforce, Eventogy) and digital tools to measure and report on event success and ROI.
  6. Team Support: Assist the global team in updating and maintaining best practice tools and resources.

Key requirements (Communication/skills/experience)

  • At least 3 years of experience in the event industry, preferably within professional organizations such as legal, accounting, technology, or consulting firms.
  • Strong emotional intelligence, creativity, independent thinking, and professional judgment in areas like relationship management and venue selection.
  • Excellent teamwork and collaboration skills; ability to build strong internal and external relationships.
  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to handle multiple deadlines, adapt to changing priorities, and pay meticulous attention to detail under pressure.
  • Outstanding written, presentation, and oral communication skills, with excellent grammar and proofreading abilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
  • Flexibility to work in a fast-paced environment, meet tight deadlines, and handle high expectations.
  • Curiosity, eagerness to learn, and a proactive approach to building skills and responsibilities.
  • Willingness to travel within Europe for business purposes.
  • Fluent in German and English.

Experience with virtual event technology and delivery platforms is preferred.
