WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT
The Regional Sales Management EMEA team focuses on driving sales and business development across the EMEA regions.
- You manage and grow customer interactions in the DACH region, serving as the primary commercial and technical interface to build strong relationships.
- In addition, you extend the portfolio to drive growth with existing and new customers, focusing on innovative catalyst and adsorbent solutions for low-carbon process technologies.
- Your role includes providing sales forecasts, negotiating contracts and closing deals while acting as the customer advocate and representing BASF.
- Market analysis and competitor landscape evaluation are also part of your responsibilities, ensuring you update market intelligence data and develop effective account plans with the business team.
- Identifying customer needs and new leads through interactions are essential, as you coordinate the qualification process and present tailored solutions.
- Furthermore, you seek new business opportunities, manage existing relationships, participate in international exhibitions and monitor relevant technical regulations.
WHAT YOU OFFER
- PhD / Master's degree in chemistry, catalysis, chemical engineering, or equivalent
- over 3 years of experience in technical sales, business development, process engineering, marketing and working with customers in the area of Catalysts, the Petrochemical Industry, the Oil & Gas sector, or Fine Chemicals / Pharmaceutical Industry
- strong organizational skills with an affinity for digital tools, excellent communication and negotiation abilities and distinct networking competencies
- proven ability to build and maintain long-lasting relationships both internally and externally, with confidence in presenting and conversing in English and German and additional language skills being beneficial
- ability to convince and influence with a strong customer focus and eagerness to learn the technical aspects of the catalyst business
- travel requirement of at least 50%
