At the University of Greifswald’s Chair ofEconomics, Health Economics and Econometricsin theFaculty of Law and Economics, there is a job vacancy that is expected to be available for earliest possible appointment, subject to budgetary regulations, for a part-time (50 %)

(postdoctoral) Teaching Associate

The position on offer is permanent. Payment will be made according to pay group 13 TV-L Wissenschaft.

  • Services mainly in teaching (8 classes à 45 Min. per week pursuant to LVVO M-V)
  • Planning and holding of classes for the quantitative basic training of students in economics, in particular lectures and exercises on mathematics for economics
  • Exam preparation, exam supervision and correction of exams
  • Organisation of bridging courses for quantitative subjects
  • Organisation of tutorials
  • Administrative support for the department's activities in the field of quantitative basic education

Job requirements:

  • University degree (master’s/Diplom) in the field of economics or in a related degree course that has been successfully completed by the time employment starts
  • Excellent mathematical skills
  • Excellent German and good English language skills
  • Doctorate in afield of economics with a quantitative orientation
  • Knowledge of statistics and/or econometrics
  • Confident and friendly demeanour, outgoing and communicative
  • High level of motivation, initiative and flexibility
  • Teaching experience
  • Ability to carry out the tasks independently
