(Junior) Sales Manager in Chemical Distribution (f/m/d)
Your responsibilities:
- Support the sales team in Hamburg by developing and maintaining our international distribution of chemical raw materials.
- Expand and manage client relationships both commercially and technically through regular contact.
- Negotiate, prepare offers, manage sampling and product exports, and provide technical support to foster long-term collaborations with customers.
- Identify new markets, monitor market developments, and discover new suppliers, products, and sales opportunities.
- Set targets for new business development, implement strategies for profitable sales growth, and expand our product portfolio based on market analysis.
- Assist with additional tasks and projects such as creating detailed market overviews, managing supplier and customer requests, etc.
Your profile:
- Completed commercial education as an industrial, freight forwarding, or foreign trade clerk (e.g., "Industriekaufmann", "Speditionskaufmann", or "Außenhandelskaufmann"), preferably in the chemical industry.
- Alternatively, a university degree focusing on chemistry, chemical engineering, sales, logistics, or a related field.
- Experience in sales and logistics, preferably in international trading.
- Knowledge of taxes, Incoterms, and export modalities. Eagerness to learn, question the status quo, and seek improvements.
- Strong customer and solution orientation, initiative, reliability, and commitment to building trustful relationships.
- Proficiency in English and German, both written and spoken, with the ability to communicate effectively to target groups.
