We are currently seeking a Full-Time Application Scientist (m/f/d) in the Munich area.

Responsibilities

The primary goal is to achieve the commercial objectives and business plan of the Bruker AMS division for the DACH, Eastern Europe, Middle East, and Africa regions. This includes meeting order entry targets and managing customer satisfaction. It also involves implementing the commercial strategies defined by the Bruker Daltonics division for the specified regions.

  1. Create commercial content to support sales, including presentations, technical offers, demonstration reports, posters, publications, and customer visit reports.
  2. Disseminate Bruker know-how related to analytical solutions internally and externally.
  3. Facilitate commercial success by positioning products competitively within the market.
  4. Participate actively in sales project management alongside sales personnel, following the 4-eyes principle.
  5. Assist in resolving issues caused by new analytical solutions on sale.
  6. Support presales customer visits in the region, monitoring ongoing projects and collaborating with key customers.
  7. Represent Bruker at seminars and scientific events in the region.
  8. Assist in delivering analytical solutions to customers, including obtaining acceptance reports if aftersales services lack sufficient training or competence.
  9. Support the existing customer base in reselling or selling accessories and consumables related to Bruker solutions.
  10. Help promote updates and upgrades for installed systems.
  11. Organize and conduct advanced training sessions.
  12. Analyze and report on competing offers.

Organizational Responsibilities

  • Ensure proper use of company tools and compliance with good business practices.
  • Implement business strategies defined by the division.
  • Coordinate with colleagues and superiors to ensure service continuity.
  • Collaborate with other departments such as Sales and AfterSales Service.
  • Organize regular training sessions for AfterSales Service Engineers on Bruker analytical solutions.
  • Participate in internal beta tests at the request of Bruker development.
  • Support customer and development collaborations under contractual agreements.

Management Tasks

  • Manage demonstration instruments designated by the application laboratory manager.
  • Oversee customer sample reception for demonstrations and supply of standards or small equipment as needed.
  • Organize self-training on new market applications and Bruker products.
  • Assist sales in technical discussions with local suppliers for system deliveries.

Qualifications

  • Master's, Engineer's, or PhD in Analytical Science with specialization in Chromatography and Mass Spectrometry.
  • Dual expertise in analytical chemistry and business relations.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Proficiency in German and English.
  • No visa restrictions for the US, EU, or Middle East & Africa.
  • Self-discipline with the ability to prioritize in a dynamic environment.
  • Open-minded, personable, with high integrity.
  • Physical resilience to stress and frequent travel (minimum 60%).
