Job Description: Production Engineering Manager at Bun Bakeries Europe

Our diverse global team spans various departments including Production, Logistics, Finance, IT, Sales, Quality, and HR.

Location & Travel: The role is based in Duisburg, Germany, with regular European travel (up to 50-60%) and the option to work remotely the remainder of the time.

Role Purpose: The Production Engineering Manager will ensure BBEU's readiness in processes, technology, and engineering to support business objectives. Responsibilities include developing a Production Engineering Road Map, implementing standards like Standard Work, Lean Six Sigma, and KPIs such as OEE, SPC, Cpk, and Ppk to meet strategic goals.

Responsibilities:

Develop and execute a comprehensive Production Engineering strategy.
Implement and maintain engineering standards and metrics.
Lead process transitions from NPD to production, ensuring efficiency and quality.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize bakery operations, including continuous processes, vision systems, MES, Industry 4.0, etc.
Drive personnel development and foster a culture of continuous improvement.

Qualifications & Skills:

Deep understanding of bakery and food manufacturing processes.
Proven ability to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines.
Strong leadership, team-building, and coaching skills.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and negotiation skills.
Experience with change management, lean processes, and engineering management.
IT proficiency in MS Office, ERP/MES systems, AutoCAD.

Compensation & Hours: Competitive salary based on experience; 40 hours per week.
