We are looking for a dedicated Application Scientist (m/f/d) who combines scientific expertise with a strong sense for customer-oriented product development and application. In this role, you will carry out scientific work in the field of developing and improving products for the automated purification of nucleic acids — often in direct contact with customers.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Planning, execution, and evaluation of scientific studies related to the development and optimization of products.
2. Preparation of scientific documentation, presentations, and reports.
3. Support in technical customer service.
4. Optimization of laboratory processes, methods, and protocols with regard to product performance.
5. Collaboration with interdisciplinary teams from research, product management, and engineering.
6. Support in the introduction of new technologies and laboratory equipment into development processes.
7. Ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards in the laboratory.

Requirements:

1. Completed Master's degree or PhD in life sciences, biochemistry, biotechnology, or related fields.
2. Experience in laboratory work and in the application of common molecular biology methods.
3. Experience with nucleic acid purification procedures and their analysis.
4. Strong analytical skills, structured working style, and problem-solving competence.
5. Excellent communication skills, especially in presenting complex content to various audiences.
6. Team player with high self-motivation and a feel for practical research.
7. Excellent English skills, both written and spoken.
8. Willingness to travel and flexibility in project-based tasks.

This position is available on a full-time or part-time basis.
