I will play a critical role in designing and developing seamless integration of various industry protocols.

This role is interesting because, as a lead developer, I will guide the development team on building scalable and reliable solutions, and actively contribute to the system architecture. I will have the opportunity to integrate into a product organization developing the Next Generation Control Center Ecosystem MCCS, which aims to replace traditional SCADA applications with modular components running in Kubernetes clusters and exchanging data via streaming services. The Adaptation Suite is part of the Grid Asset and System Platform (GrASP), providing seamless integration with various industry protocols, SCADA systems, and file operations, leveraging Apache Camel for message transformation and routing, ensuring smooth communication.

My tasks

1. Design & Implementation: Design and implement scalable, reliable, and secure architectures that meet business objectives and industry standards. Develop protocol adapters for industrial communication protocols such as TASE.2, Modbus TCP, OPC UA / DA, or IEC 104.
2. Operations and Maintenance: Define observability standards (logging, metrics, alerts), troubleshoot and resolve issues promptly, including in a duty roll (24/7).
3. Security and Compliance: Identify and mitigate security risks early.
4. Team Coordination and Collaboration: Guide and mentor team members, foster collaboration between data chapter and product team, sharing knowledge effectively.
5. Documentation: Maintain comprehensive documentation of solutions, configurations, and operational procedures.

Minimum requirements include:

• At least 6 years of Java development experience with SpringBoot and 3+ years in frontend development with Angular.
• Proven experience with Apache Camel, microservice, event-driven, and distributed architectures.
• Experience with event streaming platforms like Apache Kafka.
• Experience with containerized applications (Docker, Kubernetes), knowledge of design patterns, scalability, CI/CD processes, preferably on cloud platforms (Azure, GCP, AWS).
• Solid knowledge of relational databases (e.g., Postgres), OT-protocols, and experience designing WebServices (REST, SOAP) and messaging communication.
• Leadership skills, problem-solving, troubleshooting, and effective communication.
