The Aerospace Defense Key Account Field Sales Engineer will be responsible for managing the strategic and operational business for select key Aerospace and Defense accounts, focusing on guaranteeing customer success—the core of our Keysight Leadership Model (KLM)—to exceed sales goals and achieve profitable growth. Please note that we consider candidates from any part of Germany, as long as they are able to travel 50% of the time.
Responsibilities
- Anticipate customer needs, challenge the status quo, investigate underlying causes, and identify solutions to create and lead business plans over the short to medium term.
- Proactively engage with industry to identify new business opportunities and customers through prospecting and networking.
- Cultivate and maintain strategic relationships with key customer stakeholders, with experience in enterprise-wide value selling and proven high-level customer engagement.
- Design and execute strategic business plans with rigorous tactical implementation.
- Engage with internal and external stakeholders to enable successful strategy execution and promote Keysight’s unique value.
- Coordinate internal resources in front of the customer without direct management reporting.
- Explore adjacent business opportunities outside of main T&M solutions to offer broader, solution-based approaches and gain deeper insights into customer challenges.
- Manage a sales funnel accurately with forward planning over a 6-month period.

- Deliver on-quota results.

- Manage discounts in line with targets.

Qualifications
- A minimum of 5 years of successful Test & Measurement sales experience, ideally including selling to major Aerospace and Defense accounts.
- A good understanding of the Aerospace Defense industry, including key drivers, challenges, segments, technologies, and programs.
- Knowledge of the electronic Aerospace Defense market in Germany and surrounding ecosystems.
- Documented track record of consistent sales success, large account management, and solutions and services sales skills.
- Proven success in leveraging successes across multiple accounts.
- Strong communication skills for external and internal interactions.
- Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Physics, or equivalent fields.
- German citizenship and fluency in German are mandatory.
