Job Description:

AWS Infrastructure Services (AIS) owns the design, planning, delivery, and operation of all AWS global infrastructure. We support data centers, servers, storage, networking, power, and cooling equipment to ensure continual access for our customers. The team includes software, hardware, network engineers, supply chain specialists, security experts, and operations managers. We focus on safety, security, capacity, and cost-efficiency, fostering an inclusive culture that encourages innovation and ownership.

The Controls team manages deployment, service, and maintenance of building automation systems (BMS) and electrical power monitoring systems (EPMS) in Amazon data centers. The team handles new construction, maintenance, and infrastructure projects to optimize power and cooling utilization. We seek a Manager to oversee Controls Engineers, liaise with internal and external stakeholders, and develop innovative solutions. The role requires technical understanding of controls systems, project management, and strategic thinking. Responsibilities include setting team goals, developing careers, managing project portfolios, process improvements, and ensuring project delivery within deadlines and budgets.

Key responsibilities include implementing and tracking team goals, developing hiring plans, understanding electrical and control diagrams, managing project scope, developing control panel BOMs, ISA data sheets, drawings, logic diagrams, and overseeing testing and commissioning. The manager will also support product development, provide technical assistance, coordinate projects, and ensure timely completion.

We value diverse experiences, encourage candidates with non-traditional backgrounds, and support career growth, mentorship, and work/life balance. AWS is the leading cloud platform, committed to innovation, inclusion, and employee development. We seek candidates with a B.S. in Electrical, Mechanical Engineering, or related fields, with 10+ years of controls experience, leadership skills, and project management expertise, especially in critical environments like data centers.
