Your tasks:

• You will carry out performance analyses and support our customers with suitable tuning measures in the event of performance problems.
• You optimize our customers' database systems.
• Your tasks will also include consulting, operation, problem analysis and solution management of database environments in the Oracle environment.
• You will work closely with Oracle's service management team.
• You enjoy passing on your knowledge to others - as a speaker in our seminars and at specialist conferences, in workshops at the customer's premises and in internal workshops with your colleagues and our students. You also share your knowledge in our ORDIX blog (https://blog.ordix.de/).

Your prospects:

Your profile:

• (Technical) university degree in computer science or comparable completed training.
• 3-5 years of experience in the administration of Oracle databases.
• 2-3 years of experience in performance analysis and tuning of Oracle databases.
• Strong analytical and conceptual skills as well as strong communication skills.
• You have a perfect command of written and spoken German and a good command of English.

Technological environment, methods, tools and processes used:

• Oracle RDBMS 12c and higher.
• Oracle high availability with RAC and Data Guard.
• Oracle Cloud Control 13c.
• Engineered Systems (e.g. ODA, Exadata) desirable.
• Various Linux derivatives (including Red Hat / Oracle Enterprise / SUSE Linux).

Typical project activities:

• Performance analyses including development of tuning measures and optimization proposals.
• Design and implementation of Oracle database systems.
• Management of database operations for business-critical applications.
