What You Will Do :
- Program management of microphone product development for German OEM automotive applications, including creating and maintaining project plans, collaborating with partners, coordinating schedules, resolving problems, and delivering status presentations.
- Manage 4 to 6 microphone programs and cross-functional teams to support sales pursuits and projects for automotive microphones.
- Serve as the lead program interface with customers, responsible for 2 to 4 German OEMs or other EU OEM accounts.
- Understand all technical details of the products used in electrical and mechanical systems.
- Understand requirements and develop technical solutions to meet customer needs for all development products.
- Establish and manage the program budget.
- Collaborate with Sales, Supplier Engineering, and Design Engineering to set and meet system cost targets.
- Set team goals regarding timeliness, customer issues, and quality.
- Interact with internal functions such as manufacturing, quality, purchasing, and marketing.
- Negotiate resource allocations with functional managers.
- Review supplier quotes, participate in supplier reviews and selection processes.
- Coordinate and oversee ordering of prototype and production tooling.
- Audit task completion and report major deviations from plans to management.
- Recommend continuous improvements to the development process.
What You Need :
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Engineering, preferably Mechanical or Electrical.
- 5+ years of experience in program management, sales, quality, design, engineering management, or process engineering.
- Technical knowledge of audio systems and automotive electronics is preferred.
- Understanding of embedded audio electronics is preferred.
- Experience with project management tools such as Jira, ALM, Confluence.
- PMP certification is preferred but not required.
- Strong communication, presentation, and problem-solving skills, both customer-facing and internal.
- Fluent in German and English; basic skills in Italian or French are appreciated.
- Willingness to travel approximately 10% of the time.
