Job Description :

We are seeking a Head of Principal Frontend Engineer to lead the development of exceptional mobile user experiences on our social media platform. You will guide a team of skilled frontend developers in creating high-quality, performant, and visually appealing mobile applications. Your role will be crucial in shaping our mobile development strategy, ensuring best practices, and fostering a culture of innovation and excellence.

Responsibilities :

1. Lead, mentor, and manage a team of React Native developers, fostering a collaborative and high-performing environment.
2. Set clear goals and objectives, providing regular feedback and performance evaluations.
3. Collaborate with product managers, designers, and backend developers to deliver engaging, feature-rich mobile applications.
4. Drive architecture and technical decisions to ensure scalability, maintainability, and robustness of our React Native apps.
5. Develop and enforce coding standards, quality assurance processes, and workflows for a consistent, high-quality codebase.
6. Stay informed about industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in mobile development, integrating these insights into our processes.
7. Oversee planning, execution, and timely delivery of mobile projects aligned with business goals and deadlines.
8. Troubleshoot complex technical challenges, providing guidance and solutions to the team.
9. Work with cross-functional teams to prioritize feature development, bug fixes, and improvements based on user feedback and business needs.
10. Identify areas for process, tools, and team dynamic improvements to drive continuous enhancement.

Qualifications :

1. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field; a Master’s degree is a plus.
2. At least 7 years of proven experience in mobile application development, focusing on React Native.
3. Strong leadership and management skills with a proven track record of leading and motivating development teams.
4. Experience in mobile app performance optimization, debugging, and troubleshooting.
5. Proficiency with version control systems (e.g., Git) and agile methodologies.
6. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective cross-team collaboration.
7. A portfolio of successful React Native mobile applications.
8. Experience in social media or consumer-facing app development is a plus.

Compensation

This is an equity-only position, offering a unique opportunity to gain a stake in a rapidly growing company and contribute directly to its success. Equity share: 2%.
