Job Description

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an MEP Cost Manager (m/f/d) to join our Cost Management team in Berlin. This role supports our Data Centre clients in delivering complex projects.

  • Assist with feasibility studies and prepare procurement reports.
  • Estimate and plan costs, including producing and presenting final cost plans to internal and external clients.
  • Manage tendering and procurement processes, including pre-qualification stages.
  • Handle post-contract cost variances and change control processes effectively.
  • Ensure accurate cost checks and valuations on larger projects, taking personal responsibility for timely and precise assessments.
  • Produce monthly post-contract cost reports and present them to clients.
  • Contribute to value engineering initiatives.
  • Negotiate and finalize accounts.
  • Interface with clients and other consultants throughout all project stages.
  • Lead a cost management team when appropriate, ensuring delivery of all responsibilities.

Qualifications

Experience and Skills:

  • Degree in Quantity Surveying, Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
  • Proven track record in delivering high-quality cost management and quantity surveying services across the full project lifecycle.
  • Experience in managing MEP elements of construction projects.
  • Experience leading cost management for large, complex projects.
  • Good knowledge of technical matters in the construction industry.
  • Fluent in English and basic German (minimum B1), with a willingness to improve German skills.
  • Excellent presentation, verbal, written, and communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills; ability to multitask and work well in a team.
  • Proficient in MS Office tools; familiarity with cost databases and estimating software is advantageous.
