Position Summary

Would you like to work closely with advanced engineers from many of the leading companies in automotive and other industries, who use our software to accelerate their product development and reduce their environmental impact? We are looking for a creative, talented and self-starting application engineer to join our Application Engineering and Support Group to help our customers get the most out of our software and to leverage the knowledge learned from these interactions to continuously improve our software.

Specifically, we are looking to add someone to our electrical application engineering team. This team supports customers and designs software with applications in battery, motor and power electronic systems.

To support our European Team in Stuttgart we are looking for an engaged, motivated and independent employee, to support our activities in Europe.

Your Assignment

  • Work with customers that use our software to design and analyze their systems, including many leading electric vehicle companies.
  • Develop and execute proof-of-concept projects to demonstrate cutting edge software solutions to prospective customers.
  • Use customer feedback and interaction to design and test new product features.
  • Work and coordinate with other teams worldwide to ensure product and customer success.
  • Interact with established and emerging companies through training classes, conferences, and marketing events.
  • Develop customer tailored simulation methodologies using GT-SUITE.
  • Expand the usage of GT-SUITE to new markets, applications, and systems.

Your Qualification

  • Experience in system simulation of electrical components (e-motors, batteries, power electronics) and systems (high – and low voltage circuits).
  • Experience with simulation of e-motors, power electronics and batteries.
  • Good understanding of numerical methods.
  • Proficient in spoken and written English and German.
  • Willingness to think outside the box, a broad field of interest and a self-sufficient and self-organizing working mindset.
  • Willingness to occasionally travel in Europe and internationally.

Additional qualifications & experience to support your application

  • Working experience in the electrical area
  • Experienced in e-mobility
  • Scientific programming (Matlab, C, Python, …).
