Gardener (m/f/d) for our greenhouse facilities

We are looking for a full-time gardener (m/f/d) with immediate effect for our nursery at KWS SAAT SE & Co. KGaA at the Einbeck / Lower Saxony location. The position is limited for 2 years with the possibility of subsequent de-restriction. In this position you will carry out all cultivation and maintenance measures in the greenhouse.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Potting of growing material, cuttings, seedlings.
• Pricking out, sowing, fertilizing, watering and tying up plants in greenhouses and climate chambers
• Checking plant stocks for diseases and pests
• Implementation of plant protection measures
• Accompanying bonituren in the vegetation
• Transfer of plants from in vitro cultures into the greenhouse
• Data acquisition (MDE), data maintenance and processing (LIMS/Nautilus)
• Clearing, cleaning and disinfection of greenhouse cabins/ climate chambers
• Completed training as a horticulturist (m/f/d) in ornamental horticulture or comparable training with knowledge of protected cultivation.
• Proven expertise in plant protection and experience in young plant cultivation
• Knowledge of MS-Office products (Word, Excel)
• Reliable, independent and team-oriented way of working combined with a self-confident and communicative appearance
• Willingness to work weekends (rotating system) is mandatory
• Very good German language skills are a prerequisite, English language skills are an advantage
