Your new role
You will be part of the Environment & Health (E&H) Department in Germany and a global network of EIA practitioners within our E&H division. Our existing EIA team in Germany covers local infrastructure, rail and onshore wind projects and international assignments related to project finance. We are rolling out sector approaches for Rail and Energy to align and streamline our services for clients, and you can contribute to its success.
Your key responsibilities
- Project Oversight: Providing high-level oversight for multiple EIA projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within scope, and on budget.
- Client Management: Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients, providing expert advice, and ensuring client satisfaction throughout the project lifecycle.
- Quality Assurance: Ensuring that all EIA reports and assessments meet high-quality standards and regulatory requirements.
- Team Development: Mentoring and developing junior and senior consultants, fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment.
- Financial Management: Managing the financial aspects of EIA projects, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
- Risk Management: Identifying and mitigating risks associated with EIA projects to ensure smooth project execution.
- Regulatory and Policy Insight: Staying updated on environmental regulations and policies, and advising clients on compliance and best practices.
- Business Development: Identifying new opportunities for growth in EIA services, preparing proposals, and leading business development initiatives.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Leading engagement with stakeholders, including government agencies, NGOs, and community representatives, to ensure transparent and effective communication.
- Partnership expansion: Build a partnership network of companies that leverage collective expertise, share resources, and drive innovation, fostering collaborative growth across industries.
About you
- A Bachelor\'s degree in environmental science, environmental engineering, ecology, or a related field.
- A Master\'s degree or PhD in a relevant discipline
- Significant experience in environmental impact assessment and related fields
- Proven track record of managing large-scale EIA projects
- Professional certifications such as Certified Environmental Professional (CEP) or similar certifications are beneficial
- Familiarity with relevant German environmental regulations and standards
- Strong analytical skills for assessing environmental data and proficiency in using EIA-related software and tools
- Strong project management abilities, including budgeting, scheduling, and resource allocation
- Experience with risk assessment and mitigation strategies
- Ability to mentor and develop junior staff
- Experience in developing proposals and securing contracts
- Ability to identify new business opportunities and drive growth
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in German and English
