We are looking for a talented Vendor Manager for the Toys Category. In this role, you will work to create earth's greatest shopping experience.

The Vendor Manager will establish strong relationships with key segment manufacturers and distributors, integrating them into our logistic and catalogue systems, planning the selection of seasonal collections, and managing inventory levels. Further responsibilities will include coordinating marketing activities and driving projects to improve catalogue quality, navigation, and customer purchasing experience.

This role is for a passionate customer and category advocate, with proven analytical capabilities and project management skills. The VM must be an effective leader and communicator in working with some of Amazon's most important partners and vendors, as well as with internal colleagues and cross-functional leaders.

Key job responsibilities

  1. Define the selection strategy, focusing on categories, brands, product types, and price ranges.
  2. Grow and manage the selection through strong vendor relationships, assessing market procurement conditions, recommending terms, and implementing procurement strategies.
  3. Act as a pivotal role in the E-commerce business, liaising with Marketing, Instock Management, Logistics, and Legal.
  4. Be responsible for business management areas: promotional campaigns, support to in-stock management (in close relationship to our supply chain management team), product management, and vendor performance communications.
  5. With the online content management team, develop and execute collaborative marketing and promotions campaigns for a wide variety of products across the category.
  6. Help to set up a category procurement support strategy along with supply chain teams and drive continuous process improvements, such as improving vendor lead times.
  7. Manage item/vendor set-up in various tools.
  8. Attend trade shows and vendor meetings as required.
  9. Monitor and research industry and competitive trends to make the Amazon offering the best for the customer.
  10. Manage vendors and internal processes in daily operative tasks.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s degree
• Professional experience negotiating with vendors/suppliers and influencing internal and external stakeholders
• Proficiency with Excel and data analysis
• Fluency in English both written and verbal

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Statistics, Marketing, Finance, Supply Chain, or Engineering
• Experience in vendor negotiations, pricing and promotion, inventory management, and product development
• Proficiency with SQL
