Legal Counsel - Infrastructure & Energy Projects (m / f / d)

Location: Düsseldorf or Hamburg

We are seeking a highly skilled and proactive Legal Counsel to join our team in Germany, supporting complex infrastructure and energy-related developments. This role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to innovative projects across industrial and technology sectors, with a strong emphasis on construction, energy law, and procurement.

Key Responsibilities :

  1. Provide legal support for infrastructure and energy-related developments, including drafting, negotiating, and managing contracts for engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC), energy supply, grid connection, and renewable energy initiatives.
  2. Advise on legal aspects of sustainability-driven projects such as solar installations, energy trading, electric mobility infrastructure, and heat recovery systems.
  3. Monitor and interpret relevant legislation, regulatory changes, and industry trends, offering strategic legal guidance to internal stakeholders.
  4. Promote legal compliance and awareness across the organization through training and policy development.
  5. Collaborate with external legal advisors to manage disputes and ensure cost-effective legal support.
  6. Work closely with cross-functional teams across Germany and Europe, including technical development, asset management, and legal colleagues.

Your Profile :

  • Fully qualified German lawyer with strong expertise in contract, construction, and energy law.
  • Minimum of 5-6 years of experience in legal advisory roles, focused on construction law for large-scale infrastructure or technology projects.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage complex legal matters independently and work effectively in dynamic, multi-disciplinary teams.
  • Fluent in German and English, with excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Willingness to travel occasionally within Germany and to European offices.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office tools and comfortable working in a fast-paced, innovation-driven environment.
