Full-time/part-time (min. 35 hours/week) | In Dresden | On site with the option of mobile working

Are you a proactive leader who can mentor and develop a high-performing project management team while effectively collaborating with stakeholders across R&D, QA/RA, and business units?

Your tasks

  • Project Portfolio Management
    • Manage and oversee cross-functional development projects across the full lifecycle
    • Monitor progress, risks, budgets, timelines, and resource utilization
    • Prioritize and balance the project portfolio in line with business strategy
    • Act as escalation point for project risks, compliance issues, and cross-functional conflicts
    • Ensure transparent communication with internal and external stakeholders
  • Processes & Methodology Development
    • Continuously improve and standardize project management processes within a regulated environment
    • Apply classic, agile, or hybrid development approaches as appropriate
    • Ensure compliance with applicable regulations and standards (e.g. MDR/IVDR, FDA, ISO 13485)
    • Align project execution with design control, risk management, and quality system requirements
  • Project Leadership
    • Lead complex, interdisciplinary development projects from concept to market launch
    • Manage risks, dependencies, and resource constraints
    • Collaborate closely with R&D and QA/RA leaders to ensure alignment and regulatory readiness
    • Prepare and present project status updates to steering committees
  • Team Leadership & Development
    • Lead, mentor, and develop the project management team
    • Allocate and plan resources across the project portfolio
    • Support hiring, performance management, and team development
    • Represent management decisions to the team and the team to internal and external stakeholders
    • Ensure adherence to company processes and manage team-related budgets and forecasts

Your profile

  • Degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Project Management, or a related field
  • Proven experience managing interdisciplinary development projects
  • Strong knowledge of project management methodologies (classic, agile, hybrid)
  • Excellent leadership and people management skills
  • Structured, documentation-oriented working style
  • Proactive, reliable, and organized leadership approach
  • Collaborative, solution-oriented mindset
  • Business-oriented thinking with solid technical and regulatory understanding
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills in English (mandatory) and German (advantageous)
  • Experience in leading, developing, and mentoring project management teams would be advantageous
  • Strong planning, risk management, and problem-solving skills are desirable
  • Ability to navigate complexity, uncertainty, and regulatory constraints is a plus
  • Solid understanding of regulated product development and quality management systems (e.g., MDR/IVDR, FDA, ISO 13485) would be beneficial
