We are currently looking for a Senior Product Manager (m/w/d) to join our Checkout team at SCAYLE.
The Checkout team is responsible for the complete order lifecycle, from customers placing items into their baskets to handling the refund of a returned item weeks later. Between these two points the team interacts with a multitude of internal and external players, spanning from an in-house CRM team to the external marketplace and multiple payment providers in various countries. The applications the Checkout team maintains range from high‑traffic, fault‑tolerant API hubs to security‑conscious, reliable backend processing engines.
SCAYLE offers an in‑house developed eCommerce infrastructure as a licensed product. A large part of our responsibility is to work on Checkout as a Service and to build next‑level e‑commerce checkout, while also improving conversation and user flow for our own website.
What you will do
- Build and maintain scalable and flexible new solutions for our Retail & SCAYLE businesses
- Work in a multi‑application, multi‑tenant environment with multiple stakeholders, each deeply involved in different facets of Checkout as a product
- Steer our products in a direction that makes them more flexible, open, and easy to integrate, supporting our SCAYLE customers
- Transform business goals into technical solutions in a rapidly evolving environment with daily challenges
- Collaborate with a dedicated, self‑sufficient international team to specify and build end‑to‑end features
- Learn new tools to support you and your developers
- Interface with a multitude of stakeholders, all involved in the many facets of Checkout as a product
- Work in a SCRUM environment and act as a facilitator and driver for improvements in team processes
- Support the integration process of service providers and consumers from specification and API definition to QA and release, using your technical know‑how
- Enjoy plenty of space for your own ideas and creations in a flat hierarchy with a very short decision‑making process
Who you are
- Have experience working with, understanding, and specifying processes within IT systems and are familiar with REST API, databases, etc.
- Have led technical product deliveries end‑to‑end
- Excel at driving the development team to deliver high‑quality products in an extremely fast‑paced environment
- Have experience managing stakeholders from both technical and business backgrounds
- Come from a project or product management background with an emphasis on IT or e‑Commerce
- Understand impact analysis, identify edge cases and dependencies, clarify priority and business value, and define potential approaches to resolution
- Have experience triaging operational issues, identifying technical dependencies, and evaluating business impact
- Possess an analytical, logical, and structured approach to problem solving
- Are proactive, solution‑oriented, self‑motivated, and communication is one of your strengths
Nice to have
- Practical programming experience is beneficial
- Experience with development tooling and processes (git, Jira, etc.)
