About the role: We are seeking a talented and motivated (Junior) Machine Learning Engineer to join our team. You will work on high-impact projects delivering solutions across various industries, requiring a solid understanding of Machine Learning, Data Science, Software Engineering, DevOps, and cloud-based solutions.

Responsibilities:

1. Design and develop machine learning solutions, often utilizing cloud-based services on providers like AWS, GCP, or Azure.
2. Develop and coordinate infrastructure projects, such as cloud data lakes and data warehouses.
3. Write software components in languages such as Java (Spring Boot), Python (PySpark, Flask), JavaScript/TypeScript (Vue, React, Angular).
4. Set up development and deployment infrastructure (DevOps) in cloud or on-premises environments.
5. Research and prototype new ideas to innovate operations and create value for clients.
6. Implement customer-specific use cases, guiding clients through the entire project lifecycle.
7. Apply skills in data modeling and visualization to improve clients’ data utilization.

Job requirements:

Minimum qualifications:

1. Experience or interest in artificial intelligence.
2. Experience with relational databases and SQL.
3. Software engineering experience with knowledge of at least one programming language (e.g., Python, Java).
4. Knowledge of visualization and frontend technologies is a plus.
5. Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in fields like Business Informatics, Computer Science, or related quantitative disciplines.
6. Fluent English skills and at least B2 level in German.
7. Based in Munich, Germany.

Desired skills:

1. Experience with cloud infrastructure development and management.
2. Experience in consulting.
3. Knowledge of Kubernetes, Docker, Spark, or MLOps principles.
4. Interest in (agile) project management.
