Tasks
- Ship production value every week: features, improvements, and measurable fixes with predictable throughput.
- Contribute directly to quarterly OKRs with clear milestones and measurable results.
- Own medium‑complexity areas end‑to‑end (API + database + UI touchpoints) with minimal guidance.
- Improve codebase health through pragmatic refactoring, standards, and thoughtful architecture evolution.
- Build with a strong product mindset: clarify the “why”, propose smart trade‑offs, and iterate post‑release based on outcomes.
- Deliver changes with appropriate tests (unit/integration) and reduce regressions through disciplined engineering practices.
- Strengthen reliability: debugging, incident hygiene, and improving observability (logging/metrics/alerts).
- Collaborate with Product, Customer Success, and Sales to translate real‑world business complexity into scalable, maintainable solutions.
- Contribute to a team culture of transparency, low ego / high standards, and proactive unblocking.
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience as a software engineer in a product environment (B2B SaaS is a plus).
- Strong hands‑on experience with TypeScript / Node.js and building maintainable services and APIs.
- Solid experience with modern frontend development (ideally Angular and/or Vue).
- Good understanding of relational data modeling and PostgreSQL; experience with ORMs (e.g., TypeORM) is a plus.
- Strong quality mindset: testing, code reviews, maintainability, and CI/CD discipline.
- Ownership mentality for production: you care about uptime, performance, and fast root‑cause analysis.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills; you keep stakeholders aligned and risks visible.
- Familiarity with secure architectures and GDPR‑compliant environments.
- Curiosity and initiative; you love learning, sharing, and applying new concepts to improve our platform.
- Fluent in English (German is a plus, but not required).
Nice to have
- Experience improving engineering quality metrics (test flakiness, coverage, lint/type strictness, build times, CI reliability).
- Infrastructure‑as‑Code exposure (e.g., Terraform) and practical observability experience (e.g., Grafana).
- Experience in regulated / compliance‑minded environments (GDPR, ISO‑aligned processes).
- A track record of simplifying complex workflows and improving UX to be loved by users.
