Legal Counsel (m/f/d)

Join our team in Germany, based in Düsseldorf or Hamburg, as a Legal Counsel / Syndikusrechtsanwalt. Your primary role is to proactively identify and mitigate legal risks related to real estate development and operations, including infrastructure, power connection, and renewable energy projects, with a focus on energy and construction law and procurement.

Key responsibilities include:

1. Drafting, reviewing, negotiating, and managing agreements for data center and industrial projects, renewable energy, and innovative energy solutions.
2. Staying updated on relevant laws, regulations, and industry trends, and advising the organization on legal risks and opportunities.
3. Ensuring compliance with company policies and fostering a culture of legal awareness and compliance through training and education.
4. Managing external law firms effectively and within budget.
5. Coordinating legal disputes and litigation.
6. Collaborating closely with internal teams and European legal colleagues.

Are you the right fit?

• Fully qualified German lawyer.
• Extensive knowledge of contract, construction, and energy law, with an interest in sustainability regulations.
• At least 6 years of legal experience, with a minimum of 5 years in construction law for major projects or data centers.
• Strong analytical, communication, and negotiation skills.
• Ability to work independently and handle complex legal issues.
• Experience in international projects and proficiency in German and English.
• Willingness to travel occasionally within Germany and to Belgium.
