Position Overview:

At our Hamburg location, you will work on our Knowledge product. Knowledge is a knowledge management software that helps agents in help centers quickly find accurate answers for their conversations. Our customers appreciate the software as an intuitive tool that delivers knowledge on demand and precisely when needed.

The backend of Knowledge is a globally available SaaS application with a REST API that we develop using agile methodologies. We use technologies such as Java, Spring, Hibernate, Elasticsearch, Kibana, RabbitMQ, Docker, Nomad, SonarQube, Keycloak, Maven, Jenkins, and PostgreSQL. The frontend is entirely web-based, leveraging Angular, ExtJS, JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML5/CSS3.

These tasks are waiting for you

• As a backend or fullstack developer (m/f/d), you are responsible for both the business logic and the user interfaces.
• You design and develop our web applications in agile Scrum teams.
• You build the bridge between customer requirements and modern technologies.

What you have to offer

We believe that a degree, e.g. in (business) informatics or a completed apprenticeship as an IT specialist in application development, would help you in this job. You will also already have several years of professional experience. However, it is important to us that you love coding.

What else can you do?

• You convince us with your experience in the development of scalable, modern, Java-based web applications in a containerized SaaS environment.
• Experience with service-oriented (microservice) architectures as well as distributed systems and web services is an advantage.
• You are confident with web frameworks (especially Angular or ExtJS would be an advantage).
• Good database know-how (e.g. PostgreSQL), as well as initial experience with Elastic Search would be an advantage.
• Knowledge of web and application security, such as authorization.
• Initial experience with Continuous Integration & Deployment.
• Knowledge of agile development methods (Scrum, Kanban etc.).
• You have a high level of quality awareness and take responsibility for your topics (“You build it, you run it, you fix it”).
• You are a team player who enjoys working in a friendly team.
• You speak fluent German or very good English.
