Join our Encavis team as a Senior Portfolio Manager and play an active role in shaping the energy transition as part of our Development Team. You will drive the transition to digital-first systems and scalable processes, ensure the integrity and quality of our development data, and optimise processes for smooth portfolio operations. Using tools such as Sitetracker and our M365 collaboration space, you will establish robust feedback loops, continuous improvement and excellent data control - enabling efficient, scalable project development and seamless collaboration across teams and countries.

Responsibilities

• Portfolio overview & data quality: Ensure high data quality across all project portfolios, keep master data up to date and establish standards and controls for reliable portfolio reporting.
• Process optimisation & digital control: Drive digitalisation and optimisation of development processes, automate workflows and integrate decision-making and approval mechanisms into digital tools.
• Continuous improvement & feedback: Establish structured feedback and learning loops, ensure lessons learned are transferred to systems such as Sitetracker, and promote sustainable development of working methods.
• Contract & compliance management: Implement and manage commercial contract management, ensure regulatory compliance and guarantee complete and audit-proof digital documentation of obligations.
• Collaboration & reporting: Work closely with data engineers and other stakeholders to ensure accurate, up-to-date and decision-relevant project reporting.

Projektleitung, Hybridisierung & Genehmigungen

• Projektleitung (PV + BESS): Verantwortung für Utility-Scale PV- und BESS-Projekte von Origination bis RTB/FID; Sicherstellung technischer, kaufmännischer und regulatorischer Anforderungen.
• Hybridisierung & Systemdesign: Treibung der Integration von Batteriespeicher-Systemen in Photovoltaik-Projekte zur Maximierung von Projektwert und Netzflexibilität; enge Abstimmung mit Engineering-Teams.
• Genehmigungsplanung: Steuerung aller Genehmigungsaktivitäten gemäß deutschen Regularien; Entwicklung effizienter Workflows; Pflege nachhaltiger Beziehungen zu Behörden.
• Wirtschaftlichkeit & Technische Machbarkeit: Betreuung von Flächenrechten und Netzanschlüssen; Erstellung belastbarer Investitionsvorlagen; Vorbereitung umfassender Projektdokumentationen.
• Stakeholder-Management: Aufbau vertrauensvoller Beziehungen zu Flächeneigentümern, Netzbetreibern, Regulatoren und lokalen Gemeinden; transparente Information über Projektfortschritte.
• Reporting & Schnittstellenkoordination: Klare Projektupdates; enge Zusammenarbeit mit Finance, Legal, Engineering und HSSE, um Projektziele termingerecht zu erreichen.

What we require

• Professional experience & industry knowledge: Mindestens fünf Jahre Erfahrung in Portfolio- oder Projektmanagement, Betrieb oder digitaler Transformation – idealerweise in erneuerbarer Energie oder Infrastruktur.
• Technological expertise & tool affinity: Starke Kenntnisse in Microsoft 365, Erfahrung mit Workflow-Automation und in Projektmanagement-Systemen wie Sitetracker.
• Data quality & system compliance: Fokus auf akkurate, verlässliche Daten; klare Qualitätsstandards und konsistente Feedback-Mechanismen über Teams und Tools.
• Analytical thinking & process understanding: Kritische Analyse bestehender Prozesse; Identifikation von Optimierungspotenzialen und strukturierte Weiterentwicklung digitaler Prozesse.
• Language skills: Sicheres Englisch und Deutsch in geschäftlicher Umgebung; weitere Sprachen wie Spanisch oder Italienisch sind von Vorteil.
• Mobility & flexibility: Bereitschaft zu internationaler Reisen zur Unterstützung von Projekten, Teams oder Partnern vor Ort.
• Education & experience: Abgeschlossenes Studium im Bereich Engineering, Umweltwissenschaften, Betriebswirtschaft oder vergleichbar; 5-8 Jahre Erfahrung in der Entwicklung von Erneuerbare-Energie-Projekten, idealerweise PV und BESS.
• Regulatory know-how: Vertraut mit relevanten deutschen regulatorischen Rahmenbedingungen und behördlichen Genehmigungsprozessen; sicherer Stakeholder-Management in komplexen Verfahren.
• Project management & analysis: Ausgezeichnete Projektmanagement-Fähigkeiten, hohe Organisationsstärke und technisches sowie kaufmännisches Verständnis inkl. Financial-Analysis-Methoden wie NPV und IRR.
• Communication & negotiation: Ausgeprägte Kommunikationsstärke und souveräne Verhandlungskompetenz; zuverlässig im Stakeholder-Management.
• Languages & mobility: Fließende Deutsch- und Englischkenntnisse; Bereitschaft zu regelmäßigen Reisen innerhalb Deutschlands und gelegentlich international.
