Head of Finance (m/f/d)

At Rocket Factory Augsburg AG, we aim to revolutionize access to space through cost-efficient and reliable micro-launchers. To support our growth, we seek a Head of Finance to ensure robust financial planning, reporting, and controlling. The ideal candidate will manage financial systems, improve processes, and support business performance, acting as a trusted partner to management and operational teams.

Your Responsibilities

• Lead financial processes including budgeting, planning, forecasting, year-end closures, variance analysis, and reporting.
• Drive fundraising efforts, including preparing pitch decks, business case modeling, due diligence, and investor presentations.
• Oversee development and improvement of cost centers, accounting structures, and controlling systems.
• Manage liquidity planning and cash flow to ensure financial stability.
• Coordinate tax-related matters across European sites.
• Support project delivery through project controlling and monitoring financial KPIs.
• Identify and resolve financial and business risks, uncovering opportunities for improvement.
• Provide strategic insights to enhance financial performance, operational efficiency, and shareholder value.

Your Qualifications

• Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field.
• 10+ years of professional finance experience in Germany, preferably in industrial or technical sectors.
• Proven experience in setting up reporting, liquidity management, and controlling systems.
• Experience with accounting for development projects in technical/industrial environments.
• Fluent in English and German (spoken and written).
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and attention to detail skills.
• Structured, solution-oriented, and entrepreneurial mindset.
• Proven leadership skills with a collaborative, trustworthy, and empathetic approach.
• Motivation to optimize processes and add value in a growth environment.
