About the Role
Support us as UI Specialist and Frontend-Developer (w/m/d) in aggregating, analyzing, and managing operational data to combat cybercrime at the national and international police level. Develop the tools of the future for German police cybercrime units.
The Cybercrime department seeks you to help provide data, analysis, and intelligent tools as the basis for cybercrime fighting within the Federal Criminal Police Office and German police. Our team includes police officers, web developers, full stack and backend developers, and big data experts.

Responsibilities
- Planning and executing complex UI/UX software projects in national and international police information processing contexts
- Gathering, analyzing, and evaluating technical and operational requirements
- Designing systems, technical conception, and documentation
- Designing, operating, and developing UI components for data aggregation and analysis tools
- Implementing workflow support components integrating data via APIs and storage techniques (Elastic Search, MySQL, DRUPAL)
- Maintaining and updating software components
- Creating programs, test cases, and performing quality assurance
Additional Requirements
- Flexible working hours, including international travel (3-5 days, 1-2 times a year) and on-call availability (5 days, 2-3 times a year)
Qualifications
- University degree (diploma or bachelor) in computer science or related field, or
- Equivalent skills with at least 3 years of relevant IT experience, or
- Comparable skills with at least 6 years of relevant IT experience
Preferred Skills
- HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Angular, TypeScript
- Experience with relational databases (MySQL/PostgreSQL), Elastic Search, Docker, REST APIs, Git
- English proficiency (B1 level)
- Willingness to learn new systems, team collaboration, communication skills, and adaptability
