Country Manager – Germany
We are engaged by a European battery‑storage manufacturer that designs and builds its own systems in Europe. Germany is their strategic priority, and they are creating a Country Manager role to anchor that growth.
We are looking for a senior commercial leader to take full responsibility for developing the German market. The remit is broad: shaping the market strategy, opening doors with utilities, independent power producers, developers and engineering contractors, and translating technical capability into long‑term commercial value. Projects typically range up to 80 MWh, so comfort operating in the utility‑scale space is essential.
What you will do
- Develop national market and growth strategy
- Develop key partnerships with grid operators, developers and major energy clients
- Create and convert the project pipeline
- Build the team as the business scales
- Provide commercial oversight and, in time, full P&L responsibility
Ideal candidate
- Senior commercial operator with direct experience in large‑scale energy‑storage projects or adjacent power‑systems markets
- Ability to move confidently between technical detail and board‑level discussion
- Established network in the German energy sector
This is not a distributor role or a simple sales patch. You would represent a manufacturer with European intellectual property, European production and a leadership team committed to a long‑term presence in Germany. The technology is proven and fully financeable; the task now is disciplined market expansion.
